Education Resources
MRBO offers many different options for teachers or non-traditional educators to get students involved in MRBO education programs.
Students of all ages are welcome to visit our home base at Arrow Rock State Historic Site, or outdoor venues across the state. MRBO offers in-school presentations or MRBO staff can conduct place based outdoor learning activities at your own outdoor event. MRBO can also tailor K-12 education programs to fit in perfectly with all curricula within the Discover Nature Schools program.
For college or university students, MRBO has provided programming for Ornithology, Ecology, and Vertebrate Zoology classes, and welcome interaction with full classes or individual students. MRBO staff would be pleased to develop a custom programming for your students at a site near you.

Virtual Nature School
Welcome to the Missouri River Bird Observatory’s Virtual Nature School! Our goal is to provide standards- based lessons tied specifically to Missouri ecosystems. These resources are built to be used in both in-person and virtual classroom settings. We hope these materials and resources will provide new ways for students to learn about Missouri’s birds, their habitats, and other Missouri fauna and flora.
