Upcoming Events

Saline County - April 10th: Grand Pass Conservation Area and Van Meter State Park migration monitoring stations open for the season! Operation daily at Grand Pass and intermittently at Van Meter until May 31st. Anyone is welcome to visit these stations to see many colorful migrant songbirds in the hand, and learn about MRBO's long-term monitoring program. Please call to schedule your date! (660) 886-8788.

Grandfather, Ionia Ridge, and Paintbrush Prairies - May 26th: The Monitoring Avian Productivity and Survivorship program begins in late May. Visitors are welcome at any of the three prairie stations, which are operated once in every 10-day period each until August 8th.

Schwartz Prairie, St. Clair County - June 9th and 10th: MRBO joins the Missouri Prairie Foundation as MPF documents all the biota at this diverse site. All are welcome and the event is free!

Griggsville, IL - June 16th: Cross state lines to attend Martinfest, one of the largest Purple Martin festivals in the country! We are honored to be invited speakers presenting on the success of the Missouri Purple Martin Banding Project. This large event will include booths and seminars amidst a carnival-like celebration of" America's Most Wanted Bird".
